A tour which will lead us through several savannahs, kreeks and swamps to Jodensavanna, Blakka Watra en camp Gusterie. We will also visit native villages. We drive over unpaved roads through the tropical rain forest  where you will get acquainted with the secrets of nature. Nocturnal excursions in search of animals like crocodiles, frogs, snakes, will make it an exciting journey.  Camping in the savannah, an absolute must for the adventurer.

DAY PROGRAM

Day 1 : 08.00 hrs departure from Paramaribo Via the Kennedy Highway and Paranam we drive to the  Powakka Savannah where we will cross the savannah  through kreeks,  bushes  and loose sand. Skill and knowledge of the area are here an absolute requirement. After a short break we will  continue our trip through pineapple fields, which were layed out bij the indians, to the river Suriname. Here we will cross over with a pontoon  to continue our trip to Jodensavanne and the  Blakkawatra area where we will spend the night.

Day 2: In the morning we depart for Cabendadorp (a native village) where we will visit a pottery.  Through jungle roads and creeks we  visit the old railway in the  Berlijn savannah.   Via the savannah we drive to  Piking Saron on the river Saramacca.  Here you can go by corial or canoe to Gusterie, a  resort in the Coessewijne savannah. This breathtaking journey takes 1.5 hours and goes across the river and  through the savanna to the famous Blakawatra creek.  In the afternoon swimming, fishing or canoeing in the creek . In the evening campfire  with  BBQ. After BBQ  you can search for animals like snakes, night birds, caimans etc.  Camping in Gusterie.
